Northwest Haiti Christian Mission
Would you like to make a lasting impact on the lives of other people? In living the mission statement
of the River to "connect people with God in a way that will change their lives forever" beyond our own
congregation, the mission committee wants to let you know of the organizations that the River is working
with. Listed below are the various groups, a short description of the work that is done and the name
of who you can contact for further information.
Interfaith Hospitality Network is a national nonprofit, faith based organization that assists families that have lost their homes with housing placement. Every 10 weeks (one evening only) members of the River provide a
meal, recreation and spend the night at a local church in Monroe with 5-6 homeless families. Interfaith also depends on donations of household items, furniture, hygiene and laundry supplies as well as formula and diapers to
meet the needs of the families while they are in the program. For $5 the program will pick up your used furniture for use for a family in need. Contact: Teresa Brand at RTBrand@adelphia.net

The mission's main campus is in the city of Saint-Louis du Nord. This campus has a church, Bible college, school, medical facilities, home for elderly Haitians, home for special needs children, and nutritional facilities. This is the campus where American work teams reside when they come with us on mission trips. The River usually sends a group to Haiti each year and is the main support for the nutritional facility.
