Small Groups are groups of adults that meet weekly or twice a month for friendship, support, and spiritual growth. Members of all ages, stages of life, and spiritual maturity are welcome. We have groups that meet almost every night of the week, including a group that meets Sunday mornings. Connect with others who share similar interests in a fun and inviting way! Make new River friends while creating natural environments to engage those not yet connected to The River. Children’s Ministry

Building a kids life starts at a very early age. The beginning of spiritual development are learning blocks that can help discover early how much God loves them. Our Nursery gives children the opportunity to grow in a loving, caring, environment that teaches life lessons in a biblical model.

Waddler/Toddler

Our Waddler/Toddler classroom guide our little ones (ages 2-4) into a safe, creative place that in stills biblical concepts through age-specific learning.

Band of Brothers is a mentoring program for future men.  We provide Christlike formation and servant leadership development for boys in a highly relational and fun environment. Our mission is to evangelize, equip, and empower the next generation of Christlike men and lifelong servant leaders.

Band of Brothers provides an effective means of discipling boys and young men by utilizing direct personal relationships between men and boys, developed around a core of shared interests and experiences. Activity-based ministries are essential to the spiritual development of boys.

We have Bible studies, small groups just for women, and special events throughout the year.

JOY at the River

This is a group of active middle agers and senior adults, singles or couples, who gather monthly to enjoy their God given life through Christian fellowship, education and occasional activities of service to our church and community. There is no cost to participate, no membership dues but participants will preregister the week before the monthly event. They meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. Dessert, Coffee, Tea and water will be served. This is open to all River attenders and their friends, family and community members in the surrounding area. If you are interested in this group contact Doug & Debbie Pierson at 607-793-0118

Faith Kidz

Watch as kids blast off to a whole new level of relationship with God.  K-6th graders will engage in captivating environments filled with Bible lessons that will develop their faith, character and purpose in life.  At ftKidz, we try to create settings that not only enable strong spiritual growth, but strong friendships with other students. Every week will be a new fun and creative experience designed just for kids as they grow in their walk with God.
