She taught choral music (traditional, gospel, show choir), as well as guitar, and music history, theory, and appreciation for seven years at both private and public schools.
Charlie joined The River Staff In August of 2026. Charlie studied music at Howard University and has many years of experience as a Worship Director & Worship Pastor of Vineyard Cincinnati, Community Christian Church, Quest Vineyard, and now The River. Charlie is the owner/operator of Charlie Hines Studios, where he produces and publishes music. He has a passion for music and healthy relationships and loves to point people toward Jesus through worship. Charlie also teaches at NKU in the Commercial Music Program. He is married to Traci Hines, and they have two wonderful daughters, Mia and Abby.

Cathy joined The River staff in July of 2026 as our Administrative Assistant. She graduated from Bowling Green State University and the University of Dayton with a degree in K–12 Education. Cathy’s background in education taught her the value of blending patience, clear communication, and leadership skills for her new role. She actively volunteers within her local community and continually seeks new opportunities to give back, connect, and grow. Cathy is married to Patrick, and they are navigating the exciting phase of raising two young adult sons, Jack and Sam. She recharges by enjoying great food and conversation with family & friends, taking long walks, and traveling.

Leah joined The River staff in August 2021 as our Administrative Assistant. She simply loves serving the staff, members, and guests of The River Church! She graduated from Lewis and Clark College in Illinois in 2013 and moved to Ohio with her husband in 2014. Leah is married and has two young boys who keep life entertaining. She enjoys traveling, reading, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.

Brad joined The River staff as lead pastor in August of 2010. We are excited to have Brad as our lead pastor because he has brought a great vision to The River for us to be “a relational community that builds friendships to share Jesus with our five-mile radius and beyond”.
Brad joined the River Staff as Lead Pastor in August 2010. He and Heidi have been married over 40 years and have three married children and several grandchildren. Brad has a passion for reaching people with the good news of Jesus and teaching the Bible with a focus on its application to daily life. Brad and Heidi have extensively traveled the United States conducting Build Your Marriage conferences and retreats. In addition, he has taught breakout sessions for Saddleback Church, Willow Creek Community Church, and the National Coalition of Men’s Ministries. He loves traveling internationally with Heidi, kayaking, exercising, and playing golf. Brad has his B.A. from Wheaton College and his MDiv. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Ryan has served in many different roles within ministry from youth to senior leadership. After getting his bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University and working in the business world for three years, God called Ryan into ministry. Once he left the business world, he received his MDiv. in Biblical Studies from Cincinnati Christian University with a concentration in New Testament studies. He has been married to his wife Courtney who is a teacher in the Lakota School District. They have three young kids who they love to spend time with. When he can get away, Ryan loves fishing, golf and watching any and all sports - especially his hometown Cincinnati teams.
Ty Singleton
Youth and Young Adults Pastor

Ty Singleton has spent over 15 years working with youth and young adults, helping them grow both physically and mentally. He’s the proud owner of Fit 1o1, a personal training studio located in Liberty Township, where he’s passionate about empowering others to live healthier, stronger lives. Ty and his wife Liz are blessed with four amazing kids — Mya, Sophia, Aryana, and Tyson. When he’s not training clients, Ty enjoys working out, spending time with his family, and eating ice cream… I mean, broccoli.

Leslie loves helping people at the River get to know others better and grow in Christ. She graduated from Anderson University with a degree in Education. She has been a teacher, Children's Director, retreat speaker, and helps plan and emcee various events in the region. Leslie also serves on the Butler County Educational Services Board. She is married and has two grown children. She loves to travel, organize, hike, kayak, watch football, drink coffee and spend time with family and friends.
